Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what your rights are under UK data protection law.
Who we are
EDPAT UK LTD (Company No. 13885397, registered in England and Wales) is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us by phone on 07459 951517 or by email at danydanygatman@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Enquiry details — your name, phone number, email address (if you give one), the type of work you are asking about, and the description of the job you send us.
- Messages you send us — the content of emails, phone calls, WhatsApp messages and any photographs of your property that you choose to send.
- Technical information — basic data your browser sends when loading this website, used to keep it working and secure.
Why we use it and our legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote — our legitimate interests in responding to someone who has contacted us about work.
- To carry out work you instruct us to do — performance of a contract with you.
- To keep records — compliance with our legal obligations, including tax and accounting requirements.
- Non-essential cookies — only where you have given consent through the cookie banner.
We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we never sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only where it is necessary: with the service providers who host this website and store our enquiry records on our behalf, with our accountants or professional advisers where required, and with anyone we are legally obliged to disclose it to. Providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 12 months, so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us. Where we carry out work, we keep the related records for as long as we are required to for tax, accounting and legal purposes — normally six years after the end of the relevant financial year.
Security
Enquiries sent through the website form are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in a hosted database with access restricted to us. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us.
Your rights
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep.
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, our use of your information.
- Withdraw consent where we rely on it, such as for non-essential cookies.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us on 07459 951517 or at danydanygatman@gmail.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
This website is aimed at homeowners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 16.
